I am invested in exploring the strange place between people by exaggerating the distance in making the object inanimate and unreal. We feel things for the unreal portraits, falsely feel like we understand. But our tendencies to love and idealize in an impossible way happens in our everyday lives: our...

Charleston
I moved to Charleston, South Carolina on October 31st and really love it so far. I am going to go out and take some pictures soon and post them maybe here or on my Flickr. One of my favorite artists: Kiki Smith →
Take some time to look through this flash website MoMA made for her exhibition there back in 2004. What I like about Kiki Smith is that her ideas move so well through all sorts of different media. Her choice of medium follows the content of the work-something I’m always trying to do.
Daily drawings
Daily drawings and paintings are all the rage on the internet lately and I tend to be on the computer more often than on the sketchpad. It’s the nature of being out of school, confused, and away from the studio. So I am going to try to put up at least one drawing every day. I’m deleting the photos of my puppy and all of that because you can call me or g chat me for those sort of...
